Continuing with the Fujifilm series of portable prime compacts, the 16 mm black XF f/2.8 R WRes a wide-angle lens equivalent to 24 mm, well adapted for landscapes, nature and architectural photography. Its maximum aperture of f/2.8 balances size and speed, and is suitable for working on the available lighting conditions, while limiting the size and overall weight of the lens for daily use. The optical design has two aspherical elements to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations to produce greater clarity and accurate representation. A Super EBC coating is also used to control the brightness and phantom image to improve color contrast and fidelity when working in bright, backlit lighting conditions. To complement the optics, there is a stepper motor, along with an internal focusing design, which provides quick and especially quiet focus performance. In addition, the lens is weather-sealed to suit work under adverse conditions.
