A basic element of wide-angle versatility, the Panasonic Lumix S PRO 16-35 mm f / 4 is a wide L-mount zoom with a constant maximum aperture f / 4. An optimized optical design incorporates a series of aspherical elements , low dispersion and high refractive index, to control a variety of aberrations, color stripes and distortion to obtain crisp, clear and well corrected images throughout the zoom range. Complementing the optics there is an exclusive double magnet linear motor approach system, which provides a high speed and power response while remaining compact. The lens also has a rounded nine-blade diaphragm, which contributes to the quality of the bokeh, and a sealed construction to adapt to work in a variety of weather conditions.
The wide-angle zoom is designed for cameras without a full-frame L-mount mirror, however, it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length range of 24-52.5 mm.
The constant maximum aperture of f / 4 maintains constant illumination throughout the zoom range.
Three aspherical elements and an ultra-high refractive index element help minimize distortions and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range to maintain sharpness and edge-to-edge illumination.
An extra-low dispersion element greatly reduces chromatic aberrations and color stripes to produce a high degree of clarity and color accuracy.
