The sophisticated UNK1 contains an intelligent charge management system, which monitors battery types, capacities, and initial internal resistance, and then automatically applies the most appropriate charge current based on these data. The health bar of a cell will appear on the LCD screen, which also shows the capacity, voltage, and percentage of charge completed. When the battery status has dropped to the lower limit, the bar will begin flashing to warn you that it should be replaced.

The UNK1 offers a mechanical reverse polarity protection mechanism that prevents charging from occurring if a battery is incompatible or incorrectly installed. In addition, the error message "EE" will appear on the LCD screen to notify you if a short circuit battery is detected. Another useful feature is the battery recovery mode that restores inactive cells to active service.

Built for durability, the UNK1 is made of polycarbonate and ABS plastics that are resistant to corrosion and fire.
