Combining a versatile range of wide-angle focal lengths with an impressively bright design, the Canon Sigma 14-24 mm f / 2.8 DG HSM EF mount is an Art series zoom, distinguished by its fast constant maximum aperture f / 2.8 to adapt to work in available lighting conditions. With a sophisticated optical design, this lens uses a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range to achieve high sharpness, clarity and color accuracy. A Super Multi-Layer coating also helps suppress lens flare and ghost effect to obtain images with precise and contrast-rich colors in a variety of lighting conditions.
Benefiting the handling, this 14-24 mm is equipped with a Hyper Sonic AF engine with an algorithm optimized for speed and accuracy. The lens also offers a large focus ring with full-time manual override settings for quick adjustments. A rounded 9-sheet diaphragm improves image quality by helping to create a soft bokeh, and the lens is built with a lightweight and durable thermally stable compound. In addition, a built-in lens hood helps to protect the front element and prevent the parasitic light from causing flashes.
As part of the Art line within the Sigma Global Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve truly remarkable optical performance and is ideal for creative and artistic applications.
The wide angle zoom is designed for Canon cameras with full-frame EF mount, however, it is also suitable for APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length range of 22.4-38.4 mm.
