Professional quality standalone mixer
The ATEM Mini model features a compact control panel and audiovisual connections on the rear. The front of the device includes buttons for switching between sources, adjusting audio volume, and choosing different effects and transitions, while microphone inputs and HDMI connections for cameras and computers are located on the back. The contents are transmitted through the HDMI output or the USB-C port, which also allows the equipment to be detected as a webcam. The ATEM Mini model is very easy to use. Just press any of the numbered buttons on the front panel to switch between sources. In turn, it is possible to choose different types of cuts and transitions using the CUT or AUTO buttons. Unlike the first, the latter allows you to change from one plane to another according to the selected transition, for example, a dissolving, a fade to a certain color or other more dramatic effects. Furthermore, the device controls provide the opportunity to choose different positions for the superimposed images. It should also be noted that this model facilitates the storage of titles and graphics, which can be accessed through an external control computer program.
Live interviews
The ATEM Mini is ideal for conducting interviews, as it allows you to connect multiple cameras to capture general shots or close-ups of the presenter and the person being interviewed. Plus, it's so compact that it can be used in small studios. The HDMI output provides the ability to record images or transmit them through programs such as Open Broadcaster.
Business presentations via Skype
Skype detects the mixer as a webcam, allowing for extraordinary presentations with multiple cameras, for example one for wide shots and one for close-ups. You can also connect computers to use PowerPoint and show slides with overlapping simultaneous images.
E-sports streaming
The ATEM Mini model allows you to broadcast e-sports competitions through Twitch by connecting several video game consoles and a camera for the presenter. In this sense, it should be noted that the mixer supports a frequency of 60 frames per second, and the simultaneous images function facilitates the realization of live comments during the competition.
