SIGMA 693955 - SIGMA 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM Art Lens for Nikon, black colour

Pairing a versatile range of telephoto focal lengths with a constant and fast maximum aperture, this 50-100mm f / 1.8 DC HSM Art Lens by Sigma is designed for Nikon F DSLR mounting in DX format and provides an equivalent focal length range of 75-150 mm. The constant and brilliant maximum aperture offers constant performance with little light throughout the zoom range and also allows greater control over focus placement for applications with shallow depth of field and selective focus. as a complement to the versatile telephoto lens range, this 50-100mm f / 1.8 DC HSM Art Lens by Sigma is designed for Nikon F DSLR mounting and provides an equivalent focal length range of 75-150mm

This combination of low dispersion designs works to significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringes throughout the zoom range, in addition to offering a high degree of contrast and clarity. in addition, a super multi-layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce glare and ghost effect of the lens, which benefits work in intense lighting conditions. an unprecedented combination of focal length and speed, this 50-100mm f/1.8 lens offers a variety of preferred telephoto perspectives combined with a flexible maximum aperture.

Complementing the imaging capabilities is a refined physical construction with internal focusing and zoom mechanisms to limit overall lens length during use. a Sonic AF Hyper motor offers fast focusing speeds and silent performance, as well as the ability to manually override focus at any time for greater control. also adapted to quick-fire applications, the nine-leaf diaphragm has been built with fluorine-coated polycarbonate, along with a carbon-fiber film for exceptionally smooth and controlled performance when shooting at high shooting speeds. a Sonic AF Hyper motor offers fast focusing speeds and silent performance, as well as the ability to manually override focus at any time for greater control. also adapted to quick-fire applications, the nine-leaf diaphragm has been built with fluorine-coated polycarbonate, along with a carbon-fiber film for exceptionally smooth and controlled performance when shooting at high shooting speeds. a Sonic AF Hyper engine offers the ability to manually override focus at any time for greater control.

As part of the Art line of Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed for truly remarkable optical performance and is ideal for creative and artistic applications.

This 50-100mm lens, which covers a wide range of short telephoto focal lengths, is designed for DSLRs in the DX format with Nikon F-mount, where it offers an equivalent focal length range of 75-150mm.

The constant and incredibly fast maximum aperture f / 1.8 benefits from working in difficult lighting conditions throughout the zoom range and also offers greater control over focusing when working with selective focusing techniques.

Three F Low Dispersion elements and one Special Low Dispersion element significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringes throughout the zoom range. In addition, a high dispersion, high refractive index glass element controls spherical aberrations for clarity and sharpness.

A super multi-layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting, and helps produce images with contrast and neutral color, even under backlit conditions.

The integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) performs fast, quiet autofocus, complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also allows full-time manual focus control by simply turning the focus ring at any time.

An internal zoom and internal focusing design limit the overall length of the lens during operation for more intuitive, controlled handling and faster performance.

The rounded nine-blade diaphragm is made of durable fluorine-coated polycarbonate and also features a carbon-fiber film for smooth performance when working with continuous and rapid firing speeds.

The lens is constructed using a thermally stable composite material (TSC), along with traditional metals, for greater accuracy and use in wide temperature variations. The outside of the lens cylinder is also engraved with the year of production.

The bayonet mount is constructed of brass to ensure accuracy and durability.

A fixed, rotating tripod collar offers greater stability when working from a tripod and integrates 90° click stops for intuitive switching between horizontal and vertical trigger orientations.

This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB base to adjust the different lens features and update its firmware.
