A wide variety of applications
The new ZEISS Batis 2.8/18 impresses with its high image quality throughout its field of view: "By virtue of its large diagonal angular range of 99 degrees, this optic is ideal for capturing unique images of landscapes, architecture and astro photography, as well as for impressive indoor shots in confined spaces.
With the Batis 2.8/18, ZEISS expands the range of lenses with super wide-angle optics. For the Sony α E-mount system, this optic has a diagonal angular field of 99 degrees and is currently the shortest fixed focal point for full-frame with autofocus from ZEISS. The new Batis 2.8/18 from ZEISS, with the innovative OLED display showing focus distance and depth of field, is also impressive thanks to its image quality across its entire image field. This optic will be available from ZEISS starting with its entire image field.
The ZEISS Batis 2.8/18 continues the great success achieved by the first two ZEISS Batis 2/25 and ZEISS Batis 1.8/85. Despite its wide-angle end, we have managed to perfectly adapt the ZEISS Batis 2.8/18 to the same image quality as the other two lenses in the family," says Dr. Michael Pollmann, Product Manager of ZEISS Camera Lenses. "With the expansion of the ZEISS Batis lens line, we are offering creative and demanding photographers the creative and demanding fot ZEISS Batis.
