ZEISS Loxia 2/35. The discreet reporter
The ZEISS Loxia® 2/35 offers an extended viewing angle, making it the first choice when it comes to showing a motif in your environment or people in context, for example when making photo reports or urban photography, making it the most important focal length within a 35 mm compact camera system, while the compact design of this system allows you a certain independence and discretion when shooting, and the manual focus gives you all the creative freedom to design and create your story in a personalised way.
ZEISS Loxia lenses have been specially developed for cameras of the Sony α series. This means that in your hand you will have at the same time the advantages of the most modern full frame camera and the creative possibilities of "classic" photography with manual focus.
Last but not least, ZEISS Loxia lenses bring together everything you need to make the highest quality video, e.g. the unique DeClick function, which allows continuous scrolling of the diaphragm
DeClick function
A completely new feature of the Loxia lenses is the possibility to "stop clicking" on the diaphragm engagement mechanism with the supplied tool and an adjustment screw on the mounting surface. In video applications, the unexpected difference in brightness can be compensated by rotating the camera without phases. This feature is also compatible with other appropriate video systems by the small size for adaptation.
Precise manual focusing
Manual handling of a lens means controlling the image result with your fingertips - ergonomics is everything - ZEISS lenses are eye-catching because of their large rotation angle, which allows you to focus precisely on a point - changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder - the high-quality mechanics of the focus are light, play-free and serve as an additional aid to intuitive play with the level of sharpness - the precise engraving in meters and feet and the depth of field scale offer more help to manual focusing.
Virtually distortion-free optics
ZEISS lenses open up new design possibilities with dramatic perspectives and the view from unusual visual angles. Distortion affects the composition, as straight lines whose image does not go to the center of the image would be represented crooked. This annoying effect is mostly compensated by costly designs at all focal lengths, as appropriate.
High quality and integral metal model
Remarkable quality and high stability are the main features of ZEISS lenses for decades of intensive use. The high-quality full metal model, diaphragm ring and non-slip focus, sturdy front mount and filter thread offer a great experience in the world of photography. In addition, the special sealing ring on the mount protects the intersection between the camera and the lens.
