The Tamron 18-300mm f / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD is a versatile superzoom ideal for photographers who want an all-rounder that covers virtually any shooting situation. Characterized by its 16.6x zoom ratio and a minimum focusing distance of only 5.9 ", it offers the best of Tamron's" all-in-one "philosophy to the Sony E audience. Precise, the VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), provides you with the best performance in its class, and is supported by the patented vibration compensation system that supports stable photos even at ultra-telephoto focal lengths.
Designed specifically for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras with APS-C format, the all-in-one zoom provides a 27-450mm equivalent focal length range.
Tamron Vibration Compensation uses a free floating element, controlled via two gyro sensors to measure horizontal and vertical vibrations and compensate accordingly, eliminating camera shake.
Two VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motors provide incredibly quiet, fast and accurate focusing performance to suit both still image and video applications. This focusing system offers a minimum focusing distance of 5.9 'when fully zoomed out and a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 2 at the wide end of the zoom range.
