Lens Sigma 35mm f / 1.4 DG HSM Art for Sony E

Sigma's Sony E-mount 35mm f / 1.4 DG HSM Art Lens combines an immensely versatile focal length with a brilliant maximum aperture. it is a wide-angle cousin characterized by its advanced optical design. the combination of an F Low Dispersion (FLD) element and four Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements helps achieve a marked reduction in chromatic aberrations, while a pair of aspherical elements, with one positioned at the back of the lens, minimizes a variety of additional distortions and aberrations. a pair of aspherical elements, with one positioned at the back of the lens, minimizes a variety of additional distortions and aberrations. a pair of aspherical elements, with one positioned at the back of the lens, minimizes a variety of additional distortions and aberrations.

Complementing the imaging capabilities, the lens has a Hyper Sonic Motor to produce a fast, smooth and quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus override. The physical design uses thermally stable composite material for durability in a wide range of environments, and a brass bayonet mount also offers rigidity and mounting accuracy.

As part of the Art line of Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed for truly remarkable optical performance and is ideal for creative and artistic applications.

The standard wide-angle lens is designed for Sony E-mount frameless cameras with full frame, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an equivalent 52.5mm focal length.

The maximum aperture f / 1.4 bright is well suited for working in low light conditions and also provides greater control over the focus position when using shallow depth-of-field techniques.

One FLD element and four SLD elements are displayed in the optical design, and help reduce color fringes and chromatic aberrations for greater clarity and color accuracy.

Two aspherical elements reduce distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and accurate representation.

A super multi-layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting, and helps produce images with contrast and neutral color, even under backlit conditions.

The rounded nine-leaf diaphragm contributes to a soft and pleasant bokeh quality.

The integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) performs fast, quiet autofocus, complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also allows full-time manual focus control by simply turning the focus ring at any time.

The lens is constructed using a thermally stable composite material (TSC), along with traditional metals, for greater accuracy and use in wide temperature variations.

The bayonet mount is constructed of brass to ensure accuracy and durability. In addition, rubber sealing is incorporated into the mounting design to make it dust and splash resistant.

Sigma 35 1.4
Carlos L. on 18/08/2019 (Automatic translation) A very bright lens, a gem.
Excellent image quality but slow AF
Jose I. on 10/03/2019 (Automatic translation) I am using this lens on a Sony a7III. I must say that the image quality is excellent at all diaphragm apertures. The construction is robust and well finished. The drawbacks that I see are the following: AF slow and a bit noisy, it is not sealed like other Sony lenses and it is heavy. At the moment these drawbacks compensate in choosing this lens with respect to the equivalent in Sony, which is worth twice as much.
First order with Duke
Dominique C. on 24/06/2019 (Automatic translation) All perfect ! Compliant material and has arrived before the scheduled date and very well protected. And very interesting price. Thank you and I will be shopping with Duke again.
Fantastic lens
Javier S. on 01/10/2019 (Automatic translation) I already knew about this lens after using it with Nikon for years. After my change to Sony mirrorless format, I wanted to continue to have it, and it is, if possible, even better.
