The construction is robust and well finished. The drawbacks that I see are the following: AF slow and a bit noisy, it is not sealed like other Sony lenses and it is heavy. At the moment these drawbacks compensate in choosing this lens with respect to the equivalent in Sony, which is worth twice as much.
