Venus Optics Laowa 11mm f / 4.5 FF RL Lens for Sony E
An ultra-wide field of view coupled with a sleek design, the Sony E-mount Laowa 11mm f / 4.5 FF RL from Venus Optics is a unique wide-angle prime with rectilinear rendering that is ideal for interiors, architecture, nature, and landscape. Applications. The massive 126 ° angle of view is enhanced by an advanced optical design, including a high aspherical index of refraction and low dispersion elements, for well-corrected, sharp, and color-accurate images. The lens has a manual focus design and allows you to work with subjects up to 7.5 "away, and its built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps block stray light from causing unwanted lens flare.
Ultra Wide Prime is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 16.5mm equivalent focal length.
Two aspherical elements and one ultra-high refractive index glass element help control distortion and spherical aberrations to improve sharpness and accurate reproduction.
Three extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce high clarity and color accuracy.
An impressively wide 126 ° viewing angle is combined with a rectilinear design, presenting subjects with minimal distortion to suit architectural and landscape applications.
The manual focus design benefits from a built-in focus tab for intuitive operation and a 7.5 "minimum focus distance for suits working with close-up subjects.
The built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps prevent stray light from causing lens flare and also provides some physical protection to the front lens element.
The front of the lens is threaded to accept optional 62mm filters. The lens is also compatible with an optional exclusive 100mm filter holder.
The five-blade diaphragm produces distinct 10-point sun stars and specular reflections when stopped and point light sources are photographed.
