The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 is a further development of the popular Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 lens to meet the highest demands of fans of handheld photography. The second generation of this lens brings some innovations.
NEW: Focus Lock and De-Click
Thanks to Focus Lock, long exposures and time lapses become child's play: thanks to a separate ring, you can now lock the selected focus. This means that you can manipulate the camera without inadvertently losing or adjusting the selected focus. This function is particularly useful, for example, for astrophotography (astro landscape and wide field). Especially for long exposures, of which several are often done in a row to be stacked later, a reliably established focus is required. The feature is equally useful for time-lapse shots, where the camera is pointing at the same subject for a day or two.
With the De-Click-Function cancel the click-stops of the opening steps. The aperture can be adjusted continuously, allowing for precise and fine adjustment and is also very useful for working with films. Simply turn the silver lens ring to "Click" or "Free" as needed.
New opening, new design and weather protection
The aperture incorporated in this second generation lens has 9 rounded blades instead of the previous 6. This makes it easy to create round reflections in the bokeh. Solar stars, which are created when the aperture is slightly open and a light source is in focus, have 18 rays instead of 12.
The exterior of the lens has also been redesigned. The controls are easy to grip and thanks to their shape, they repel dirt. Now this lens also has a weather shield on the bayonet, which protects the interior from moisture and raindrops. This does not make it waterproof, but it can also be used safely in the rain or snow.

With an impressive 76.2 ° picture angle on the MFT sensor, this lens lets you take landscape photos as naturally as indoors. Thanks to the 28cm close focus limit, almost no gap is too small for good photos. The compact 14mm Samyang wide-angle lens creates unique images.
