A contemporary version of the classic standard fast zoom, the Panasonic Lumix S PRO 24-70 mm f / 2.8 is a short-angle wide-angle telephoto lens with an L mount that is characterized by its constant maximum f / 2.8 aperture and sophisticated optical design. The aspherical elements, UHR and ED are used to produce well-corrected images with high sharpness, accurate color reproduction and remarkable clarity in the zoom and focus ranges. Complementing the optics there is a dual-focus system, which uses a linear motor and a stepper motor, to provide especially fast and precise focusing performance. In addition, the lens has a weatherproof sealed design for use in difficult conditions and a rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality with smooth transitions between the focused and unfocused regions of the image.
The standard zoom is designed for cameras without full-frame L-mount mirror, however, it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length range of 36-105 mm.
