Helping to balance exposure when working in high-contrast situations, the 150 x 170 mm Very Hard Grave Neutral Density Filter LEE filters are specifically designed to selectively control brightness in difficult lighting conditions. The filter design places the density of 0.9, 3 stops at the top of the filter and then transitions to clear through the center of the filter for a gradual and natural appearance. The very hard transition between the light and density areas is ideal for photographing scenes with a straight and even skyline, like a landscape, as a landscape.

Graduated neutral density places the highest density at the edge of the filter and narrows to clear through the center of the filter to be able to photograph scenes with large bright areas, such as a day sky.
