Characterized by its stylish and versatile design, the Viltrox AF 23mm f / 1.4 XF is a 35mm equivalent wide-angle prime lens designed for APS-C format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. The flexible wide-angle focal length is paired with the bright maximum aperture of f / 1.4 to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions and also allows for improved control over depth of field to isolate the subject using selective focus techniques. The optical design incorporates a pair of extra-low dispersion elements and a pair of high refractive index elements, which combine to suppress a variety of aberrations and produce high sharpness, clarity and color accuracy. An HD Nano multilayer coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for increased contrast in bright and backlit conditions.
In terms of handling, the compact lens incorporates an STM stepping motor, producing fast, near-silent, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. An internal focus design also contributes to fast performance. Additionally, the lens features a built-in micro-USB port for future lens firmware updates.
The Prime Wide Angle Lens is designed for APS-C format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 35mm equivalent focal length. Due to its physical design, this lens is not suitable for use on the FUJIFILM X-Pro3 camera and may scratch the camera body if attached.
