Distinguished by its sleek design and advanced optics, the Viltrox AF 85mm f / 1.8 Z is a vertical-length cousin designed for Nikon's Z-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens's short telephoto focal length is combined with the bright f / 1.8 design to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions and also to control depth of field and isolate the subject. The optical design consists of an extra-low dispersion element and four elements made of highly transparent, short-wavelength glass, which help reduce chromatic aberrations for high clarity and accurate colors. The main vertical length is designed for FX-format Z-mount Nikon mirrorless cameras, however it can also be used with DX models where it provides a 127.5mm equivalent focal length.
The bright maximum aperture of f / 1.8 benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers a great deal of control over the focus position when using shallow depth of field techniques.
