More info
Atomos Ninja V 5 "4K HDMI Recording Monitor
The Atomos Ninja V 5 "4K HDMI recording monitor is a 5" camera monitor/recorder that records and plays back specially designed DCI 4K, UHD 4K and mini-SSD HD video. 10-bit FRC IPS display with a brightness of 1000 cd/m², making it suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. AtomHDR display technology allows you to accurately monitor your gamma gamma recordings without having to view flat, faded images or use a LUT to compress the gamma to compress it.
Built to withstand the rigors of production, the Ninja V features an aluminum chassis and is powered by a single L-series battery. Additional features include a variety of on-screen exposure analysis tools, framing and focusing assistance, as well as anamorphic reduction. A power supply and Caddy SSD are included with the unit.
AtomHDR
With AtomHDR you can monitor up to ten stops in the dynamic range of your camera's LOG image. Most conventional monitors can only display six or seven stops, which is fine for standard footage; but a log image will look too flat. It is also superior to monitoring with a loaded LUT, which can trim reflections and mask shadows.

Capacities 4K 60p
Record high-resolution 4K images in DCI or UHD formats up to 60 fps, including 24 and 25 fps for more cinematic aesthetics. All recordings are stored as high-quality Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR files with chroma key sub-sampling 4: 2: 2 10-bit. A variety of bit rates are available to suit your project and storage needs.
E / S audio
Audio can be input and output through the multi-pin locking connector. Separately available separation cables can provide XLR audio input with power and 48V phantom output. A 3.5mm headphone jack can be used on the side for convenient audio monitoring.
5" Visible Daylight Display
The Ninja V features a 5" IPS LCD display that is illuminated by a bright 1000 cd/m² LED backlight, making it possible to view it during the day without the need for a cover. In addition, the display is also calibrated in factory color to ensure an accurate representation.
HDR signal management
Logging and HDR signals can be difficult to monitor with conventional equipment. However, with the Ninja V's integrated HDR signal management functions, the log signal can be converted to the PQ standard for compatibility with existing professional and consumer HDR equipment.
Anamorphic De-Squeeze
The Ninja V is compatible with the anamorphic reduction function, allowing you to view anamorphic images comfortably with a grip of 2x, 1.5x, 1.33 and Panasonic 8: 3.
Recording ready for editing
Incoming video signals can be recorded on a wide range of Apple ProRes and Avid DNx codecs that maintain high quality and do not require uncompressed video storage space. Both ProRes and DNx are easy to edit and require no post-production conversion to ensure smooth playback and compatibility with the most common video editing software.
Expansion modules
The Ninja V features a bi-directional high-speed video port along with power and audio that allows future expansion modules to increase the Ninja V's capabilities.
