Designed primarily for professional video and photo editing, themonitor EIZO ColorEdge CG2400S 24.1" Full HD HDRIt offers accurate colors and versatile connectivity. With an integrated color calibrator and compatibility with 99% Adobe RGB and 98% DCI-P3 coverage, this compact display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 is ready to bring your creative visions to life.
In addition to its compact design, connecting a compatible laptop to the USB-C port allows you to transfer video, data, and up to 70 W of power with a single cable. It also features HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. Use the integrated USB hub to connect USB drives, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals through the monitor. The included sunshade helps block distracting light so you can find the perfect appearance.
Compact design, expansive display
With a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and an aspect ratio of 16:10, it provides more vertical viewing space than traditional Full HD screens, which can reduce the amount of scrolling.
Color accuracy
The 24.1" IPS panel provides 10-bit color with 99% Adobe RGB and 98% DCI-P3 coverage, along with a 16-bit LUT. Support for high dynamic range HLG and PQ offers sharp contrast with a static contrast ratio of 1800:1 and a brightness of 400 nits.
3D LUT for accurate color visualization
This monitor is equipped with a 3D LUT (lookup table) that adjusts colors in a cubic RGB table. With the ColorNavigator 7 film emulation function, users can emulate the color properties of film using a 3D LUT file.
USB hub
Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports supporting 5 Gb/s and two USB-A 2.0 ports are located on the side of the monitor for easy access.
Built-in sensor to automate your workflow
The integrated sensor can be configured to automatically calibrate the monitor at specific times. This eliminates the need for an external calibration device and ensures that the display maintains color accuracy. Additionally, the sensor is integrated into the screen, occupying minimal space and allowing you to continue working even during calibration.
Color management software ColorNavigator 7
A monitor needs to be calibrated periodically to maintain color accuracy. The ColorNavigator 7 software, owned by EIZO, It offers an intuitive and precise solution for color management. It allows for scheduling automatic recalibration, calibrating all color modes simultaneously, and performing correlations with external sensors to match the studio's internal color management system. The calibration information is stored in the monitor instead of the operating system, so users do not have to recalibrate, even with a different PC.
Network color management software ColorNavigator
ColorNavigator Network offers centralized quality control of ColorEdge monitors for studios, printing companies, and other businesses with multiple creators and editors working on shared projects. With NetAgent or ColorNavigator 7 installed on the workstation, administrators can manage multiple ColorEdge monitors through a web browser, allowing for quality control even from remote locations. ColorNavigator Network is hosted on a secure cloud server to avoid the initial investment and operational costs of having your own server.
Broadcast and cinema presets
The CG2400S offers preset modes for DCI-P3, BT.709, and BT.2020 to ensure that you can work with the appropriate color spaces and gamma values. Additionally, it has preset modes for PQ (DCI and BT.2100) and HLG (BT.2100) to view HDR content. With the monitor's integrated calibration sensor, you can adjust or maintain the brightness of each preset.
HDR Gamma compatibility
Support for HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and the PQ curve (Perceptual Quantization) allows for the viewing and editing of HDR (High Dynamic Range) video content. Optimized gamma curves render images with greater fidelity to human eye perception compared to SDR (Standard Dynamic Range). This ensures that professional creators can reliably view HDR content for editing and color grading.
True black screen
In accordance with the DCI standard, the monitor offers a high contrast ratio of 1800:1 to produce true blacks that would otherwise be difficult to display on a conventional LCD monitor. The CG Series monitors are also equipped with a retardation film that allows tones to retain their depth, even when viewed from an angle.
Synchronization signal
The monitor's sync signal function automatically changes the color settings, such as brightness, gamma (EOTF), and color gamut, according to the input signal's metadata. This eliminates the need to manually change color settings when working on various projects.
Check the PQ content at any brightness level
An optional PQ gamma curve function (EOTF) allows clipping or compressing the input signal to match the monitor's luminance value. This enables simulating the appearance of the signal in other display environments. The "Auto" setting in the "PQ Options" menu automatically adjusts the PQ curve according to the current brightness of the monitor.
Luminance warning
The PQ Option function allows you to check PQ content at any brightness level and displays the areas of the image that are clipped when viewed at a specific brightness level. These areas are marked in yellow or magenta to easily distinguish them within the image.
BT.709 "Out of Gamut" Warning
The monitor includes a preset adjustment called Gamut Warning which, when selected, indicates the areas of a BT.2020 image that cannot be reproduced with BT.709 by converting them to shades of gray. An additional mode, called BT.709 Clipping, allows the editor to view BT.2020 images within the BT.709 color space, simulating how they would appear in an HDTV environment.
Pixel inspection
Working with incorrect parameters affects editing decisions, which may require significant project revisions and cause costly delays in production timelines. Pixel Inspection, operated through the monitor's OSD, displays the color information of a pixel based on the input source data and the data as shown on the monitor.
Markers for information overlay
A marker function ensures that content, such as text or graphics, is correctly positioned on the screen. The Safe Area Marker marks an area on the screen where subtitles or other information will appear to ensure their visibility during the broadcast. The position and size of the markers can be specified to suit the current project.
Factory-tuned for smooth color gradations
The gamma level of each ColorEdge monitor is factory-adjusted by measuring the R, G, and B gamma values from 0 to 255. Subsequently, the monitor's 16-bit lookup table (LUT) is used to select the 256 most suitable tones to achieve the desired value. This ensures more uniform color gradations in the images.
Uniformity across the entire screen
LCD monitors often exhibit brightness and chromaticity fluctuations across the screen, affecting color accuracy. To counter this, ColorEdge monitors are equipped with the patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology from EIZO, which corrects the deviations in each tone of the screen to ensure stable display.
Stable screen with AI
The color and brightness of an LCD monitor can vary due to changes in ambient temperature and the monitor's own temperature. The ColorEdge monitors from the CG series are equipped with a temperature sensor that accurately measures the internal temperature and estimates the environmental temperature. Thanks to this temperature detection and estimation technology, the monitor adjusts in real-time so that gradations, color, brightness, and other features continue to be displayed accurately. Additionally, EIZO It uses AI (artificial intelligence) in its estimation algorithm to distinguish between various temperature change patterns and calculate an even more precise correction.
Stable color in 3 minutes
A typical monitor takes 30 minutes or more to stabilize its brightness, chromaticity, and tone. The ColorEdge CG2400S takes only 3 minutes after being turned on.
Light protective hood
The ColorEdge CG2400S includes a protective cover that effectively prevents ambient light reflection on the screen. Its new design makes it lightweight and allows it to attach easily to the monitor magnetically, without the need to connect separate pieces.
Ergonomic support
Adjust the screen to a more comfortable angle and reposition it to display your work to a colleague or client. The monitor stand includes height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. Additionally, it features a quick-release system that allows you to easily remove the screen with a single touch.
