With the longest focal length in the LUMIX S series to date (as of September 2025), it combines agile handling with outstanding image quality, making it ideal for capturing distant subjects such as birds, wildlife, or sports scenes where a tripod is not an option. We will enjoy outstanding image quality throughout the range of 100 to 500 mm, allowing us to capture the finest details of each scene accurately. At 500 mm, we will achieve a spectacular compression effect without losing sharpness. We will highlight everything from the lines of a vehicle to the most delicate textures of birds and wildlife. With the Hybrid Zoom function, we will extend the range up to 1,562 mm in both photo and video, and with the optional teleconverters 1.4x (DMW-STC14) and 2.0x (DMW-STC20), we can reach 700 mm or even 1000 mm. Even with these extensions, we will enjoy a compact design that allows us to shoot comfortably handheld, ideal for dynamic outdoor photography.
