Small but mighty

Rotolight continues to drive in-camera lighting technology with the launch of the incredibly compact yet super bright NEO 3. The combination of continuous RGBWW LED technology with flash functionality, including high-speed sync, allows hybrid photographers to enjoy a powerful lighting solution for all their work.

Extremely bright and pocket-sized

The small size of the NEO 3 is not an indicator of its power. It is 3 stops brighter than its predecessor, with a measured power of 5443 lux at 3.3' in continuous mode or 10,700 lux when set to flash mode. This will give photographers and videographers the ability to better control the appearance of their subject.

Regarding its size, the NEO 3 is small and designed to be used in cameras with a format measuring only 5.7" in diameter and less than 2" thick. Its weight of 12.5 oz ensures that you don't feel overwhelmed.

High-speed RGB flash

Access to full RGB lighting with 16.7 million colors increases the versatility of the NEO 3. Additionally, you can use it in flash mode. This allows you to use the NEO 3 as a main light, fill light, or as a color accent to create distinctive looks in your images and videos. The flash functionality is on par with traditional lights, as it can sync at a shutter speed of up to 1/8000 seconds. A great advantage of the NEO 3 is that it does not require recycling time, allowing you to capture fast shots without any loss in light quality or power.

The color accuracy is as important, if not more, than the variety, and the NEO 3 achieves a TLCI rating of 99. This ensures accurate reproduction of subjects. If you use filters, the light offers 2500 digital options based on those of LEE and Rosco.

Intuitive controls

On the back of the NEO 3, you'll find all the controls you need to operate the light. Two physical knobs next to a color touchscreen allow you to access any settings you need. Save presets to quickly retrieve your favorite modes. There are also many other specialized modes available. You can quickly create special effects like lightning, fire, or stick to more conventional CCT (3000-10,000 K) and HSI options.

The light operates with batteries through standard NP-F type packs. These batteries are available in various sizes and offer extended run times.

Wireless synchronization and operation

While the functionality with the camera is a key advantage of the NEO 3, it is equally comfortable when not in use. The device has built-in wireless support via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for Rotolight HSS transmitters and Elinchrom Skyport, as well as a 3.5 mm sync port for wired devices.

Rotolight offers apps for iOS and Android that allow for even more control of the NEO 3, including multiple lights at the same time. These apps can communicate with the lights as long as they are on the same Wi-Fi network.

The base model of the NEO 3 is configured as a starter kit with all the essential pieces you need to use the light.
