Characterized by its bright maximum aperture f / 1.4, this lens is expert in working in low light conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field for selective focus control. The optical design uses several aspherical and low dispersion elements, which control the color stripes and various aberrations to provide high sharpness and clarity throughout the opening range. The individual elements also feature a Super Multi-Layer lining to suppress the flashes and phantom images for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in bright lighting conditions. The wide angle angle is designed for Canon EF-M mirrorless cameras with APS-C format and provides a focal length equivalent to 25.6 mm.
