This 24-105mm lens is designed for full E-mount non-mirror cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 36-157.5mm. distance.

A constant maximum aperture of f / 4 offers constant performance over the entire zoom range and also provides greater control over focus position for shallow depth-of-field techniques.

Four aspherical elements are presented in the optical design and two of them are designated as advanced aspherical elements to significantly reduce spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range for improved sharpness and clarity.

A Super Direct Wave AF motor and an internal focusing mechanism provide fast, quiet and precise autofocus and also contribute to more natural and intuitive manual focus control.

A focus standby button and an AF/MF switch are present in the lens body for intuitive touch control and quick access to selected settings.

A design sealed with dust and moisture allows better work in inclement conditions, and rubber-coated control rings benefit handling in colder temperatures.

The front element of the lens has a fluorine coating to protect against stains and dust adhering to the surface of the glass.
