Das Ultra Samyang 12mm T2.2 VDSLR Filmobjektiv NCS CS wurde für den Einsatz mit Kameras mit APS-C Matrix entwickelt und ist mit Getrieben ausgestattet, die mit dem Focus System arbeiten, was eine gleichmäßige und präzise Drehung der Fokusringe und der Blende ermöglicht und den Blendenring kontinuierlich und geräuschlos dreht.

In der optischen Konstruktion werden 12 Elemente in 10 optischen Gruppen verwendet. Das Modell ist mit drei Linsen vom Typ ED mit niedrigem Dispersionsfaktor, zwei Asphären, darunter ein Hybrid, ausgestattet.
