Esta nueva lente es un Súper gran angular diseñado para funcionar tanto en cámaras con sensores APS-C o Full Frame.

El anillo de apertura de diafragma funciona por pasos en la versión estándar (para foto). La versión (AE) con montura para Nikon F, incluye un chip de comunicación con la cámara que permite confirmación de enfoque, grabación de datos en EXIF, control de apertura desde el menú de la cámara, ofreciendo mucho beneficios con el sistema de flash i-TTL. Todas las lentes han sido tratadas con recubrimientos antirreflectantes de última generación (UMC)
