The Explore v2 35 Black Backpack Starter Kit from Shimoda Designs is the largest model in their flagship line of camera backpacks, and this kit includes its medium core unit designed to hold cameras like the Fuji X-T4 and Sony a7 series, but it can also accommodate a Canon 5D or a similarly sized camera. This versatile and multifunctional bag can adapt to the combined needs of the on-the-go photographer, multimedia creator, hiker, or world adventure traveler. Beyond the functional features of the bag, Shimoda redesigned the harness system to be highly customizable for any user, including the ability to swap out the backpack straps for optional ones for an even more personalized and comfortable fit.

What it contains

• The dividers with EVA foam laminate protect the equipment and prevent it from hitting each other.

How do you carry and use it?

• A practical side handle allows you to carry it like a conventional bag for easier handling at checkpoints and on airplanes, or use it as a strap for the luggage handle.
• The handles on the top and the base make picking up the package easier and safer.
• It can be carried using the built-in handle on the top or with the padded shoulder straps that can be adjusted up or down for a better fit.
• The removable padded belt with EVA foam transfers weight to the hips for additional comfort, featuring a mesh pocket for quickly storing trash and a loop for carabiners, ice axes, and even small tripods.
• The adjustable sternum strap limits involuntary movements around the user.

Improved ventilated harness system

• The "ventilated" system allows air to flow through the perforated mesh and EVA foam padding, making the harness feel comfortable and cool on your torso.
• The shape and the fit of the shoulder strap that distributes the weight help support the load; instead of the weight pulling backward, as with most camera backpack harnesses, the straps distribute the weight across the chest area.
