Compact, easy to use and versatile are all features of the Nikon D3500 , which is designed to be as flexible and intuitive as possible, while offering the imaging capabilities you expect from a digital SLR camera. 24.2MP CMOS sensor in DX format and an EXPEED 4 image processor, the D3500 provides a native sensitivity range from ISO 100-25600 to adapt to work in a variety of lighting conditions, and the combination of sensor and processor also provides a 5 fps Continuous Shooting Rate as well as recording of recording of a digital SLR.

Complementing the imaging capabilities, the D3500 also features SnapBridge, which uses Bluetooth connectivity, to share images wirelessly on your mobile device, including automatic sharing of 2MP images between the camera and your mobile device. The lightweight camera body incorporates a 921k LCD display- 3.0" dots for live view monitoring and image review and, for early digital SLR owners, the D3500 also features a useful Guide Mode to help achieve specific glances or photographic techniques, such as how to produce low-frequency images on your mobile device.

SnapBridge Bluetooth Connectivity

Supporting a host of sharing and tagging possibilities, the D3500 features built-in SnapBridge connectivity to enable seamless transfer of images to a mobile device. BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology enables communication between the camera and an intelligent device, and enables automatic transfer of 2MP images while shooting. SnapBridge requires a single configuration for up to five unique devices, and also works in conjunction with NIKON IMAGE SPACE to back up files and share images.

Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor

Benefiting from the high image quality is a suitable AF system that employs 11 different AF points to quickly acquire focus in a range of lighting conditions from -1 to +19 EV.

Full HD Movie Recording

Full HD 1920 x 1080p movie recording supports multiple frame rates of up to 60 fps as well as HD 720p in MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 format. During recording, full-time autofocus with face detection and subject tracking capabilities can be used to ensure sharpness with a wide variety of subject types, and a built-in mono microphone can be used to record high-quality sound during movie recording.

Body Design

  • The redesigned body is more compact, lighter and has almost all rear controls on the right side of the handle for easy one-handed control.

  • The 3.0" 921-point rear LCD screen offers a wide and bright medium for live image capture, menu navigation or image playback.

  • The pentamirror optical viewfinder at eye level provides a natural means of composing still images.

  • The built-in pop-up flash can be used to provide additional illumination when working in low light conditions. A shoe is also available to work with an optional external flash.

  • The included EN-EL14a lithium-ion battery provides approximately 1550 outlets per charge.

  • A range of special effects are available to creatively refine the look of images on the camera, including Night Vision, Super Vivid, Pop, Photo Illustration, Toy Camera Effect, Miniature Effect, Selective Color, Silhouette, High Key and Low Key.

  • Image control modes are directly accessible through a dedicated button and allow you to set predefined styles for images on the camera, and include Flat, Landscape, Monochrome, Neutral, Portrait, Standard, Vivid, and user customizable settings.

  • Active D-Lighting helps preserve highlights and shadow details when working in contrast-rich scenarios such as backlit lighting.   • The Auto Scene Selector is an auto mode that intelligently identifies the subject and shooting scenario, selects a suitable Scene Mode to apply, and adjusts the exposure setting to better represent the scene in question.
