More info

Digital reflex camera Canon EOS 5DS R Body

The sensor incorporated in the 5Ds and the 5Ds R is identical (measures 36 x 24 mm and has an effective resolution of 50.6 megapixels), and the specifications of both cameras are traced. They only differ, as we can imagine, in that the sensor of the 5Ds R has the optical low-pass filter (OLPF) deactivated to offer the highest possible sharpness in those scenarios in which it is necessary and the moiré is not a problem.

High-precision shooting

The 50.6 megapixel full-format CMOS sensor is capable of recording extraordinary levels of detail. The ultra-high resolution allows numerous trims to be made and still deliver stunning image quality. Even the integrated 1.3x and 1.6x shooting modes produce 30.5 and 19.6 megapixel files, respectively.

Artistic quality image printing in A0 and above

Prints ultra-high resolution images in large format (A0 and above) with low noise, true skin tones, and accurate and exceptional color reproduction thanks to the high performance of the two DIGIC 6 processors.

Advanced motive tracking and recognition

EOS AF iTR Intelligent Tracking and Recognition uses information from faces and colors to recognize and follow subjects as they move through the frame. The responsiveness of AF can be customized with a simple tool that adjusts focus tracking according to the shooting environment and subject, so other subjects passing momentarily in front of the subject do not interfere with focus.

61-point wide area autofocus

Focus quickly and accurately, even in low light, with the 61-point AF system. 41 cross focus points, including five ultra-sensitive double-cross focus points, offer additional precision.

AF point selection

Use the 61 AF points together or group them into moving areas that cover motifs that are not centered. Alternatively, select a single AF point to precisely focus on a specific part of the scene.

Weather protection

Keep shooting with confidence, no matter what the conditions, thanks to sealed controls that protect the camera from water and dust, and its rugged magnesium alloy construction.

Double memory card slot

CompactFlash and SD memory card slots allow automatic backup of files as you shoot, then easily share with customers and expand storage capacity.

Multiple Exposure

Create stunning composite images in the camera using Multi-exposure mode, which superimposes images with various automatic multi-exposure control options.

EOS Movies in Full HD

Record EOS Movies in Full HD through creative manual control of image and sound.

Detailed Image Style

It prioritizes gradations and details captured by the high-resolution sensor using Detailed Image Style, which also provides adjustable camera sharpness parameters such as the threshold and subtlety of JPEG files, so you can achieve high-impact images directly from the camera.
