Tamron 28-75mm f / 2.8 Di III Lens RXD for Sony E

Combining an elegant form factor with a versatile working range, the Tamrones 28-75mm f / 2.8 Di III RXD a full frame compatible lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. encompassing wide angle to portrait length, a constant maximum aperture of f / 2.8 complements this range and allows greater control over depth of field along with better performance in low light. the optical design incorporates a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements, which produce a highly corrected image with spherical aberrations, producing a highly corrected image with spherical aberrations in low light. the optical design incorporates a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements, which produce a highly corrected image with spherical aberrations,

The versatile standard zoom is designed for Sony Full-frame unmounted cameras, however, it can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an equivalent focal length range of 42-112.5 mm.

The constant maximum aperture f / 2.8 brilliant provides constant brightness throughout the zoom range and offers better control over the depth of field.

An XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) element and an LD (Low Dispersion) element greatly reduce color fringes and chromatic aberrations across the zoom range for greater color clarity and accuracy.

Two hybrid aspherical elements and one molded glass aspherical element minimize distortions and spherical aberrations to produce sharper, more accurate representation.

BBAR (Broadband Anti-Reflection) coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, glare, and ghost images for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in bright lighting conditions.

This focusing system also offers a minimum focusing distance of only 7.5" and a maximum magnification of 1:2.9 for working with subjects in the foreground; it is also possible to override manual focus full-time and supports Sony's direct manual focus function or tuned manual control.

A moisture-resistant construction benefits the use of this lens in inclement conditions, and a fluoride coating has also been applied to the front lens element to protect it from dust, dirt and stains.

The rounded nine-leaf diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality.

Very good goal
GONZALO . on 21/02/2021 (Automatic translation) It is a very versatile lens at an affordable price.
Lorenzo G. on 09/07/2018 (Automatic translation) In the absence of testing it more continuously, it seems like a good, robust and reliable lens, I miss the option of putting it into manual focus from the lens itself, like a lifetime
Price quality
Víctor M. on 22/03/2019 (Automatic translation) Price quality is what best defines this objective. Quite sharp at f2.8 but with a vignetting of more than a step and a half at that difragm and at 28mm, reducing to 1/3 of a step when we reach f5.6. At 50mm, vignetting is still quite pronounced, reaching close to one step at f2.8 and being practically unnoticeable at f5.6. Again at 75mm at f2.8, the vignetting reappears strongly reaching a step and two-thirds of vignetting at 2.8 and slightly less than two-thirds of a step at f5.6. In terms of sharpness, it is very good throughout the range of focal lengths and apertures, but, as might be expected, where we get the best results is at medium focal lengths (between 35 and 60mm) with a 5.6 / 8 aperture. But as I said, at 2.8 it is sharper than I expected for a lens that we can consider "cheap" Plastic construction, but with a good feel in the hand, good finishes and smooth focus and zoom rings and without jerks or harshness of any kind. Very happy in this aspect. In summary, very pronounced vignetting at f2.8-3.5 and sharpness more than acceptable in all ranges, highlighting in focal lengths and mid-apertures.
