Rode VideoMic Rycote Camera cannon microphone

The RØDE VideoMic is a 1/2 "professional grade condenser shotgun microphone designed for use with consumer video cameras and personal audio recorders.
The integrated damper mounting system based on Rycote® Lyre® insulates the VideoMic capsule and the electronic components of its fully metallic shoe support, which provides isolation from external physical factors that can cause noise and Unwanted vibrations in the microphone. Built from a single piece of rugged thermoplastic, the Lyre® provides an acoustic suspension superior to traditional elastic solutions, and will never wear, warp, or break.
Your standard-size shoe mount also includes a 3/8 "thread on the base for easy mounting to a pole or bracket.
When using a supercardioid polar pattern, the VideoMic becomes highly directional, focusing on the subject in front of the camera and minimizing the surrounding sounds.
In addition to the native 40Hz-20khz response of the microphone, a high-pass filter selectable from 80Hz is available, which will prevent serious noises such as air conditioning and traffic from being recorded.
A level attenuation of-10db and-20db (or PAD), selectable from inside the battery compartment, allows the recording of strong sound sources, such as live music or motor sports.
